anchor on jet ski

Built For Jet Ski Missions

The JET TECH Safeguard Anchor is purpose-built for jet ski riders who don’t sit still. Based on the legendary Danforth anchor design, it’s been re-engineered by Jet Tech for real-world performance in Australian coastal conditions — from estuaries to open swell.

It’s lightweight, compact, and grips hard.

What Makes It Different?

  • Galvanised steel anchor based on Richard Danforth’s proven 1939 design
  • Commercial-grade vinyl rubber coating to stop chips, scratches, and damage to your ski or boards
  • Marine-grade chain with a full-length, abrasion-proof chain sock for smoother deployment and extra hull protection
  • Double braided red anchor line — 10m or 20m depending on your kit
  • Bright orange rope float so you can spot it from the ski
  • Stainless steel snap hook for fast connection
  • Heavy-duty storage bag with drain holes, because gear that holds shouldn’t hold water

You Ask, We Anchor

How do I know which anchor kit I need?

If you’re dropping anchor in rivers, lakes, or calm bays — go Inshore.
If you’re out chasing swell or holding in current — go Offshore.

Will it scratch my ski or board?

Nope. We coat our anchors in commercial-grade vinyl rubber and cover the entire chain in a protective sock. Your ski’s safe with us.

What’s the difference between the Inshore and Offshore kits?

The Offshore kit has double the rope and chain length — that means more holding power in deeper or rougher water. Both use the same anchor and hardware.

Does it work in sand, reef, or mud?

Yep. The anchor design is based on Danforth’s original — tested to grip in all sorts of bottoms including sand, mud, reef and weed. It's been battle-tested around Australia.

Is it heavy to carry?

Not at all.

  • Inshore kit = 5kg
  • Offshore kit = 8kg

Both come in a heavy-duty bag with drain holes, so it’s easy to toss in your ski and rinse later.

Can I use this on a boat or tinny?

Sure — though it’s designed for jet skis, it’ll work on small boats too. Just check your vessel’s weight vs the anchor holding capacity.

Can I use this as a weapon?

Only against current. (But no, seriously — don’t.)

Testimonials

Held solid all day at Wave Break. Swell kicked up and I thought I’d be drifting but the thing didn’t move. Solid kit.

Jai B

Gold Coast

The setup video made it stupid easy. Threw it off the back, hooked straight in. Didn’t expect to love a chain sock this much.

Luke M

Sunshine Coast

Bag sits wet in the ski and doesn’t stink like others. Smart little touch with the drain holes. Wouldn’t use anything else now
